Women’s Issues

Why would a woman come to see me? I’ll tell you. I am a feminist. If that offends you, fine. To me it means women should have equal stature, rights and power in society. It doesn’t mean anything more than that. In therapy, I want women to be in touch with their deepest selves and to establish a place in the world they are comfortable with, even when it doesn’t cater to male-designed expectations of them. I don’t preach, I just offer insight, experience (I’ve been conducting women’s therapy groups for 25 years.), and support to them. No, I don’t know what it’s like to be pregnant, but I do know what my wife has experienced and gone through. My late mother raised me to respect and support strong, opinionated women, as well as those who prefer to be more traditionally deferential and introverted. You will decide what’s right for you, but I will make sure you get a look at your vast array of options. I hope you will consider a course of therapy with me.
